A knifeman who stabbed his victim in shoulder in an early hours attack is still on the loose, police have confirmed.

The attacker knifed a 20-year-old man in Kenelm Road, Small Heath just after 3.10am on Sunday morning, May 24.

The victim was rushed to hospital with a knife wound to his shoulder.

His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

West Midlands Police said it is still hunting the attacker - who is on the run from officers.

Police urged any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A statement from West Midlands Police read: "We were called to Kenelm Road, Small Heath, at just after 3.10am today (24 May) after a man suffered a stab wound to the shoulder.

"The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Enquiries are under way and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat or by calling 101. Quote 20BE/119028P/20."
