Demonstration on biofertilisers at Hozukhe village

Demonstration on application of biofertilisers in maize was conducted by ATMA Dimapur, Niuland block at Hozukhe village on May 22. 

A press release from  Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Niuland ATMA Dimapur, Nzamo Kikon stated that, with focus turning towards organic agriculture in the state, Roben Singh, ACTO Agronomy, KVK Dimapur, demonstrated the seed treatment of maize with phosphorus solubilising bacteria and azotobacter. 

He also highlighted the critical period of weed control in maize for optimum production of the crop. 

In the programme, adequate physical distancing was maintained and COVID-19 safety kits along with pamphlets containing precautionary methods were also provided to the farmers.
