Nagaland Online Chess tourney held
The 6th Nagaland Online Open Chess Tournament concluded on May 24. Altogether, 37 players took part in the tournament. The tournament was organised to motivate and give opportunity to young chess players of the state.
The top 15 open category winners are Mughaho Awomi, Salhuto Nyekha, Khoveto Vero, Pikuto Chishi, Sourav Singh, Akhrietuo Kesiyie, S. Ekonthung Ezung, Shabnam Singh, S. Litingse Sangtam, Muluto Phesao, Vikiye Sheqi, Kitolu Achumi, Nipeto Hesso, Toikhu Awomi and Bovito Yeptho.
The top 10 under 16 players are Pulonito Hesso, Pezavilie Kuotsu, Kunvuto Awomi, Uzholu Nyekha, Intovi Awomi, Manas Sharma, Jitihto Nyekha, Vidhan Sethi, Icicang Haikam and Mughakishe Awomi.
In the female category, Lemsula Sangtam came in the first position while Tsesam bagged the second prize.
The matches were held in 3+0 (Blitz) time format with duration of 90 minutes.
