While asserting the government need to address the issue at the earliest, the DDGBU also expressed dissatisfaction at the government’s handling of stranded citizens outside due to “poor functioning of the apps and website created for the stranded people, many are still unaware or unable to avail the financial assistance.”
While lauding those who decided to stay back, the DDGBA appealed the state government to take extra care of them and “initiate more exigency programmes for further assistance and aid, and also address their grievances in the coming days too.” DDGBA also appealed to all those returning home to follow the protocols and criterion to go through mandatory quarantine period and also for further instructions.
