English woman calls Welsh 'a bunch of b*****ds' after being told to leave beach
by Elisa MenendezAn English mother described the Welsh as a ‘bunch of b******s’ after she was escorted off the beach apparently unaware she had broken lockdown rules.
The woman is understood to have travelled more than 100 miles from the West Midlands to Barmouth with her children on Wednesday, as temperatures soared on the hottest day of the year. After crossing the Welsh border, she pitched up with her kids at Gwynedd beach but was soon approached by officers who asked them to leave.
However, the mother did not appear to understand the Welsh restrictions, claiming she was within her rights to be there because ‘Boris Johnson said that you can’. She later admitted she ‘didn’t realise Wales wasn’t in England’.
After Boris Johnson eased some lockdown restrictions in England, people are now allowed to enjoy unlimited exercise, travel to beauty spots for the day, sunbathe and enjoy picnics while maintaining social distancing. However, the rules don’t apply in Wales where the core message is still ‘stay at home’.
The rules remain largely unchanged in Wales after devolved leaders refused to adopt Mr Johnson’s ‘stay alert’ message, meaning motorists can only go out if their journey is essential.

Welsh ministers have warned Brits against visiting the coastline and said police would be at the border stopping people from entering the country.
After being approached by the officers on the deserted beach, the mother started recording their exchange and later posted the video on social media. In the footage she asks one of the officers: ‘You’re telling me it’s illegal to be at this beach when Boris Johnson said that you can?’
Despite the officer informing her that the rules in Wales are different to those in England, she replied: ‘So which beach can I go to today?’
After the officer explained that she was in breach of the Welsh Government’s travel regulations by crossing the English border into Wales, she said: ‘That’s 100 per cent that is? I’ve been here three times before.’
Later that day, she took to social media again, posting a rant about Wales, and admitted she did not realise Wales and England were two separate countries.
‘I was ignorant. I didn’t realise Wales wasn’t in England,’ she wrote. ‘Fully understand I was in the wrong. See I admit when I f up. But tomorrow we going to an English beach.
‘F you Wales you bunch of b******s. No f****r was even there locals lined up waiting.’
She added: ‘Come on it’s me I don’t do rules.’
It comes after a family of 11 were caught driving 120 miles from Manchester to South Stack in Anglesey.
Officers described their actions as ‘unbelievable’ before reminding the public that tourist spots are not open and there is no ‘reasonable excuse’ for travelling into Wales.
