All markets, fairs reopening in Kyiv May 25
Access to open-air sports and playgrounds will be allowed the same day.
All Kyiv markets and fairs will start working in the capital city of Kyiv on Monday, May 25, says Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleyev.
Restrictions on access to sports and playgrounds in parks and residential neighborhoods will be lifted, he told a briefing following a meeting of the standing commission on technological and environmental safety and emergency situations on the implementation of the second stage of easing anti-epidemic restrictions, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
On June 1, the authorities are set to reopen kindergartens and schools (for 11 graders' external independent testing, vocational and higher education facilities (for graduates and applicants), and hotels (while in-house restaurants will remain on lockdown. Sports schools and complexes, fitness centers (except pools), beaches and recreation areas will also be opened from June 1.
"In addition, we will open cemeteries for visitors from June 1. The decision on shopping malls will be taken separately. This will depend on the incidence trend," the official said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 22, Ukraine switched to an adaptive quarantine model.
At the same time, the government loosened nationwide restrictive measures, which will remain in place in regions where the epidemic stats prevent easing.
The weakening of anti-epidemic measures shall be applied and terminated in regions based on the decision of local authorities, taking into account the assessment of the epidemiological situation in line with the government decree.
The decision on such relaxation shall be reviewed at least once every seven days.
