Exclusive: Kunal Kemmu won’t eat food cooked by wife Soha Ali Khan! Watch video
by TNNKunal Kemmu is celebrating his 37th birthday in a lockdown today at his home in Mumbai. From what could have been an intimate family dinner session at home, the Go Goa Gone actor is now ringing it in in presence of his wife Soha Ali Khan and daughter Inaaya, the rest will join in over a video call. “Frankly speaking, in a scenario like this, where the world is battling COVID-19, there’s no mood for celebration. The entire family will just connect digitally. My dad is in Jammu with my grandmother and wasn’t able to come here. My mom is at home in Mira Road. Everybody is separated by distance, but thanks to the invention of video calls.”
As work takes a backseat due to the halt in film shoots, Kunal remembers that last year, he celebrated his birthday on a film set. “I was shooting for my film Lootcase and at night Soha and a couple of friends landed on the sets and surprised me,” he recollects.

Ask him what’s in store today and he says, “Soha is very particular about planning and celebrating birthdays. I am sure she’s up to something. She will get a cake and may be treat me to my favourite dish. So is she baking the cake and spinning a dish in the kitchen? “No way (laughs). There’s no baking and cooking happening at home. Well, Soha doesn’t know to cook. And if she does cook something for me, I probably won’t eat it (laughs).”
Meanwhile, Kunal’s excited about a greeting card that his daughter is making for him as a surprise. “She has been working on it since the last week. She enjoys birthdays. She will sing the birthday song for me and ask for a cake,” he signs off.
