
Seven expats arrested in Oman for violations
by Times News ServiceMuscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested seven expat workers for violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19.
A statement issued online by the ROP, said: “The North Al Batinah Police Command arrested three expatriates for selling clothes, one for tailoring clothes, two more for running a laundry service and one expatriate for undertaking barbershop activities.”
“Two violation notices were issued for non-compliance with the measures and conditions of the permitted activities. Both establishments have been ordered to close for a period of two months,” the statement added.
