John Krasinski's web series 'Some Good News' picked up by TV network

John Krasinski has sold his online series Some Good News.

In case you didn't know the Jack Ryan actor started a feel-good series while isolating at home with his family to spread good news during the coronavirus pandemic.

After eight episodes he announced that the show would be taking a break.

On Thursday the Hollywood Reporter announced the news that the 40-year-old sold the show to ViacomCBS after a bidding war.

John will no longer host the show but will serve as an executive producer. A new host is set to be announced later with The Quiet Place director set to have an on-air presence reports the publication.

He shared the exciting news on Twitter: "Wow, who can believe when we started this thing together we all just wanted good news to be more fully represented in our everyday lives. And now? You quite literally ARE the good news! Thanks to you, SGN lives on, joining the ranks of this historic news network! See you all soon!"
