New Release Dates For The Crown Season 4 Teased:

Like most TV shows, The Crown is facing a lot of difficulties in carrying out production and marketing activities due to the lockdown. If reports are to be believed, Peter Morgan wants to take advantage of the royal mayhem caused by Megxit, before the news becomes outdated.

Neither Netflix nor the makers of The Crown have made any formal announcement on the release dates for the fourth season. But, it is highly likely, that the fourth season of The Crown will get an early release. Taking the lockdown situation into account, season 4 of The Crown will be on air by the end of this year.

Peter Morgan and co. want to take advantage of the royal family drama and the mayhem caused by Megxit. They are doing everything to get an early release date for The Crown season 4. If the pandemic situation subsides, the fourth season of The Crown will be premiered by the end of the year on Netflix.

Who Is Challenging Meryl Streep In The Crown Season Four?

Gillian Anderson is to follow in the footsteps of the legendary actress Meryl Streep when she dons the hat of the former Conservative Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, in the fourth instalment of The Crown. Her chemistry with Olivia Colman, who plays Elizabeth II, will be the centerpiece of the season. A great deal is written about their frosty relation during the 11 years in which Margaret Thatcher was the Prime Minister. How The Crown will portray their relationship remains to be seen.

Anderson is wearing the big shoes worn by the likes of Meryl Streep, Patricia Hodge, and Jennifer Saunders. She is sure to face comparisons from Meryl Streep’s iconic role in the movie Iron Lady. She is best known for her portrayal of special agent Dana Scully in The X-Files. Anderson has had a stellar career on screen, but to face Meryl Streep in the ring is, obviously, not easy. It is left to be seen if Gillian will be able to stand near Meryl Streep when The Crown season 4 releases on Netflix, by the end of the year.

Imelda Staunton To Play The Older Version Of The Queen In Season Five

Imelda Staunton will play the old Queen Elizabeth II in the series’ fifth and supposedly the last instalment. The release date of The Crown season 4 is still not officially confirmed, but the process of casting for season 5 has already begun.

The Crown made a post on their official Twitter account that read: “Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth II in the fifth and final season of The Crown”. The post also captioned the reaction of Imelda on joining Peter Morgan’s epic drama The Crown and taking the legacy of Claire Foy and Olivia Colman, who has played Queen Elizabeth II in previous seasons, forward.

Harry-Meghan And Megxit Mayhem Pushes The Crown To Continue Beyond Season Five

The Crown has formally announced that season five will be the last instalment for the franchise. But inside sources reveal that Peter Morgan would like to cover the news grabbing headlines of the royal family till the modern era.

Last year, Prince Andrew was banished from public life after his disastrous interview to the BBC about his involvement with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Early this year, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle shook the world when they unexpectedly announced their decision to step back from royal duties.

The Megxit mayhem can push Peter Morgan to reconsider his decision of ending the series with season 5. The Crown needs to continue beyond the fifth season, possibly a sixth and a seventh season to capture the royal drama of the modern era. But before that, let’s wait for the fourth season of The Crown to get released.
