Gordon Ramsay's daughter 'approached' by Strictly bosses for new series

Strictly Come Dancing has reportedly approached Gordon Ramsay’s eldest daughter Tilly for the upcoming series.

Following the success of having YouTubers Saffron Barker, 19, and Joe Suggs, 28, on the show, they are keen to appeal to a younger audience.

And now TV bosses are keen to get 18-year-old Tilly on the show when the new series finally hits our screens.

‘Tilly is already popular with younger viewers from her shows on CBBC and bosses think she could bring that audience with her,’ a source began.

‘Tilly is keen to be a star in her own right, rather than just being known as Gordon’s daughter, and ‘Strictly’ could be a great way for her to come out of her father’s shadow.’

‘They’ve spoken to her formally and said she can take part either this year or next. They’ve left the ball in her court,’ the insider added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column.

Another big name who has also reportedly been approached for the show is former popstar, Myleene Klass.

It was previously reported that Jonathan Ross’ wife Hollywood producer Jane Goldman is also in talks to sign up for the 2020 series.

Goldman has a remarkable track record as a screenwriter, writing the screenplays for blockbusters such as Stardust, X-Men: First Class and Kingsmen.

It also comes after bosses are also looking to make major changes due to the coronavirus lockdown – such as scrapping the annual trek to Blackpool.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Strictly Come Dancing and Gordon Ramsay’s rep for comment.

Strictly Come Dancing comes to BBC this year.
