Not only did Manoj Tiwari sent social distancing to the backseat when he went to play cricket amid lockdown, the Delhi BJP chief also did not wear a mask which has been made mandatory by the government.
Amidst the lockdown, Manoj Tiwari was seen playing cricket at Sheikhpura Unique Cricket Stadium in Sonipat, Haryana.
In the pictures, Manoj Tiwari is clearly seen without a mask or a face shield.
In one of the pictures, Manoj Tiwari was seen standing near a small crowd as he entertained them by singing a song.
The BJP chief also tweeted a video of the event on his Twitter handle.
The recent incident has brought the functioning of the Sonipat administration into question.
This comes as coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing across the country. Coronavirus cases in India on Monday recorded a jump of 6,977 confirmed infections in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 138,845, according to the Union Health Ministry.
