According to English publication the Daily Star, a top-flight footballer in England has been accused of raping a woman during a lockdown party.

While this news comes days after Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was accused of rape, it is believed to be an entirely different incident.

The victim, who is, for now, unnamed, has alleged that her drink was spiked before she was taken advantage of by the Premier League player, who is also unnamed at the moment, and potentially by his friends too.

The woman does not remember having more than two drinks at the party, according to the report, and explained that when she woke up the next morning, she was unclothed and had scratches on her legs.

The player was reportedly next to her in bed, and when she asked him what had happened, he allegedly told her that they had had sexual intercourse.

It is further claimed that the woman was in no state to consent to sex, and made the rape allegation after she received an anonymous call informing her that the player and some other party-goers had spiked her drink.
