KFC reopens popular Liverpool restaurant for drive thru only

KFC announced the news we’d all been waiting for when it reopened several Liverpool-based restaurants last week.

And now, another venue has reopened its doors.

The chicken chain closed all 900 restaurants in the UK in March to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but announced last month that it would reopen for delivery on a limited basis.

Last week, just days after being told “good things come to those who wait” , KFC revealed that three Liverpool sites would reopen for delivery and drive thru, including East Prescot Road, Litherland and Stonedale Retail Park.

The latest opening is Great Homer Street, which is now open for drive thru only.

The fast food chain has confirmed that there will be strict processes and hygiene measures in place, with a limited menu to help smaller kitchen teams maintain social distancing.

This follows the news that McDonald’s would be making an announcement this week regarding the reopening of Merseyside restaurants.
