Bank Holiday supermarket opening hours - updated times announced for late May 2020

With the UK still on lockdown due to coronavirus, things are understandably going to be a bit different this bank holiday Monday, 25th May.
Many of us will be making the most of the weather in the garden (if we’re lucky enough to have one), in the park social distancing, spring cleaning or cooking a feast for the family.
But before you get ready to kick back and relax, you might need to nip to the shops for some last minute essentials.
Thankfully all the major supermarkets will be open bank holiday Monday - and we’ve listed their opening hours to make your life that bit easier.
Everything you need to know is listed below.
What time are supermarkets open on the late May bank holiday?
Tesco
- Friday 22nd May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Saturday 23rd May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Sunday 24th May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Monday 25th May - Tesco stores will be open bank holiday Monday, with most larger stores open between 9am and 6pm.

- Friday May 22nd - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Saturday May 23rd - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Sunday May 24th - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Monday 25th - on bank holiday Monday, Asda will be open from 8am - 8pm but it's worth checking your local as times will vary.

- Friday 22nd May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Saturday 23rd May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Sunday 24th May - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Monday 25th May - the majority of Waitrose & Partners shops will be open from 10am to 7pm with some Little Waitrose shops opening from 7am - 10pm.

- Friday May 22nd - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Saturday May 23rd - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Sunday May 24th - normal opening hours for all UK stores
- Monday May 25th - Sainsbury’s will be open from the hours of 8am - 8pm but before heading out, it's worth checking the Sainsbury's store locator for the most up to date information.
