Why are Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield not presenting This Morning?

ITV viewers may be wondering where the hosts are as they are replaced

If you are still used to spending your lockdown mornings with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, you may be left a little confused this week.

From Monday, May 25, the This Morning duo will be absent from the show as they enjoy the half-term break despite it not being the usual holiday with schools already being closed.

Instead, fans of the popular ITV daytime show will be kept entertained by Friday hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

The news was confirmed following Holly and Phil's last appearance on the show last Thursday and Eamonn and Ruth appeared in a new advert on the channel.

A voiceover for ITV then confirmed: "Hit the right note with Eamonn and Ruth next week on This Morning."

Husband and wife team Eamonn and Ruth will present the show from Monday to Thursday leaving the presenting slot wide open on a Friday.

This is also the case over on Good Morning Britain as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid also take a week off.

But normality, in terms of daytime TV, will return next week on Monday, June 1.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
