Cristiano Ronaldo wants Lionel Messi’s close friend from Barcelona at Juventus next season

As Barcelona prepare to sell Junior Firpo who was signed as a potential replacement for Jordi Alba in the summer market of 2019/20, however, the former Real Betis man has been a massive let down and the Blaugrana have closed in on signing Emerson Royal as a replacement from Real Betis by offering 12 million euros.

Although the Catalans have found their replacement for Junior Firpo who is set to depart in the summer, the board at Camp Nou faces a new situation as Juventus has considered signing Lionel Messi‘s close friend from Catalonia as requested by Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Don Balon.

Maurizio Sarri’s first-choice left-back, Alex Sandro, has been heavily linked to a move to England as Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur has come knocking to secure the services of the Brazilian defender, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Brazilian defender of Turin has in the past expressed his admiration of the Premier League and had stated that it is his dream to compete in the English top-flight division. If the current Serie A leaders do lose out on Alex Sandro, then Cristiano Ronaldo already has named the alternative signing that the Bianconeri must consider.

The former Real Madrid man has demanded for the signing of Jordi Alba as a backup if Alex Sandro leaves for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. Although the Spaniard is not as good as the Brazilian when defending, however, while attacking, Jordi Alaba is easily the best-attacking left-back in the world.

Despite the strong rumours that have surrounded the future of Jordi Alba, the Blaugrana full-back moving this summer to Juventus or to any other club seems highly improbable as Lionel Messi has ensured that his mates including Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez are to remain as untouchable integral members of the squad.

Although the move seems to be highly unlikely, the current La Liga leaders would have to keep an alternative signing if Jordi Alba does move in the summer.  Over the past few months the Blaugrana has been linked with Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso, and David Alaba as potential signings.

Who would you want to see as a replacement for Jordi Alba if he does leave in the summer?
