Isko lauds MTPB for helping deliver food aid

THE Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) headed by Dennis Viaje was commended by Mayor Isko Moreno for helping deliver food aid and rice to the city-based three-wheel public utility drivers numbering at least 17,000.

Viaje said the 800 personnel of the MTPB have been utilized to help deliver the aids from the city government of Manila.

Aside from the food items and the P1,000 city amelioration crisis assistance fund (CACAF), Viaje said they were also able to deliver one sack of rice each.

On orders of Moreno, the group of Viaje made the delivery to the homes of the said pedicab and tricycle drivers, as the mayor noted that these public utility drivers are among the sectors that were hardest hit by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Since theĀ  suspension of the public transport due to COVID-19, Moreno said the tricycle and pedicab drivers have lost income and he knows how difficult this is, since he himself used to be a pedicab driver.
