P240K mj seized from ‘BoC rep’ in Malate

OPERATIVES from the Manila Police District (MPD) confiscated six blocks of marijuana with a street value of about P240,000, from a man claiming to be a 'customs representative,’ during a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila yesterday.

John Louise Camacho, 24, of  #1881 Modesto St., Malate, Manila, was nabbed by the MPD operatives at around 7:20 a.m.

It was learned that the Station Drug Enforcement Unit used a police woman as a poseur-buyer who was able to purchase a sachet of marijuana

Once the deal was consummated, police pounced on the suspect and were able to seize the six blocks of marijuana estimated to be two kilos, along with the P100 marked money.

He was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila City Prosecutor's Office.
