Man kidnaps and rapes ex-lover

by

A Bulawayo man recently broke into his ex-lover's home and kidnapped her before raping her.

This was heard by the Bulawayo magistrate Shepherd Mjanja when  Quincy Manda (37) appeared before him. He pleaded not guilty to unlawful entry into premises, theft, kidnapping and rape charges.

He was remanded in custody to June 8.

On March 8 at 12am, Manda was in the company of a friend who is at large when they went to his ex-lover (38) place of residence and knocked on her window.

The woman asked who was knocking and Manda told her that it was him and had come for sexual favours.

When the woman looked through the window and saw Manda flashing some money, she told him that her husband was inside the house and Manda kept on pestering her.

Manda realised that he was not winning, he then broke into the house. While inside the house he took the woman's iphone, a flash drive and kitchen knife all valued at $2050.

Manda dragged the woman to Barbourfields shops where he assaulted her with booted feet after she tried to flee.

He later raped her.

The woman walked back to her home and told her husband Jabulani Sithole what had happened.

The matter was reported to the police which led to Manda's arrest.
