Oppo teases Reno 4 Series: 5G support confirmed, phone specs leaked
by Peter MinjOppo has teased the release of its Reno 4 series. The Chinese company shared the pictures of its Reno 4 smartphones on the Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo. Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo Reno 4 series will have 5G connectivity.
It's clearly visible that the Reno 4 smartphones have a triple camera setup. Oppo also revealed its availability in two color variants. The visible "Reno Glow" on the back panel is supposedly a novel Oppo trademark. Certain media outlets confirmed this.
Oppo hasn't revealed the phone specifications apart from the 5G connectivity and the visible camera set up yet. This hasn't stopped the speculations regarding the same.
Leaked specifications
Certain features of the Oppo Reno 4 series have been leaked. According to the leaked reports the following features are to be expected.
Oppo Reno 4
Oppo Reno 4 series will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. This differs from Reno 3 which used a MediaTek Helio SoC. The battery is expected to have a rating of 4,000mAh battery. It will be aided by a 65W fast charging support. Additionally, the phone is said to have a Super Night Video mode too.
The Oppo Reno 4 will have a 6.43-inch display and weigh 183 grams.
On the camera section it is speculated to house a 32MP front camera. The triple rear camera will consist of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 2MP tertiary camera.
The memory and storage section reports suggest it will feature 8GB of RAM alongside 128GB and 256GB storage options.
Oppo Reno 4 Pro
The second phone of the Reno 4 series, the Oppo Reno 4 Pro is tipped to feature a larger 6.55-inch display. The phone is expected to come with a dual front camera setup: a 32MP camera accompanied by a 2MP camera.
The triple rear camera setup on the Reno 4 Pro also seems more enhanced than the Reno 4 basic model. It includes a 48-MP main camera a 12-MP secondary camera, and a 13-MP tertiary camera.
Moving on to the memory, the phone is said to offer 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants. Reports also claim that the phone will be lighter than the Reno 4 with a weight of just 172 grams.
It is to be noted that Oppo hasn't confirmed any of the above-leaked specifications. The price range of the Reno 4 series hasn't been revealed yet. The release might be close but the company hasn't disclosed the dates yet.
