Staying at home all day, every day, has given Snohomish County shutterbugs plenty of time to train their camera lenses on everyday life during the pandemic — and then upload their photos to the Reader Photos page on www.heraldnet.com. Here is a selection of some of our favorite pictures. You can see hundreds more, and submit photos of your own, at www.heraldnet.com/yourphotos.

Colby Dewing of Lake Stevens took this extended exposure of the U.S. 2 trestle looking west toward Everett at 4 a.m. on a Sunday. During quarantine, normally traffic-choked highways have been largely deserted even during rush hour.

Tim McKibben, a retired registered nurse who lives in Smokey Point, took this photo of a robin snagging a tasty meal.

Laurie Olsen took a photo of the “Charlotte’s Web”-themed mural she painted on a rock near Dutch Hill Elementary School that has been a colorfully decorated Snohomish icon for years. Olsen changed the mural several times to say “We Can” and “Hope.”

Quarantine has given Smokey Point resident Tim McKibben plenty of time to observe and photograph the birds and the bees.
