Odion Ighalo: Manchester United fear losing striker back to China next week

- Odion Ighalo's career at Manchester United is now gradually coming to an end

- This is because his parent club Shanghai Shenhua want him to return next week

- Shanghai have rejected United's proposal for Ighalo to stay

The career of Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo at Manchester United is now coming to an end as the Red Devils fear they would lose the former Watford man back to China next week.

To be candid, Odion Ighalo has justified that he is a good striker following his superb performances for Manchester United since they signed him on loan in January.

Ighalo's last minute move to Old Trafford was possible after Marcus Rashford sustained an injury in which Solskjaer was looking for another striker as replacement.

And so far, Odion Ighalo has played eight games for Manchester United scoring four goals and creating one assist and has won the hearts of the Old Trafford fans.

Manchester United want the Nigerian to extend his stay at the club for another three months, but according to the report on UK Sun, Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua want Odion Ighalo back.

This has however put Manchester United in a difficult situation as Shanghai chiefs have rejected their proposal for Odion Ighalo to remain in the Premier League.

As it is now, Odion Ighalo's last day at Manchester United is now expected to be over this coming Sunday unless Solskjaer and his chiefs will be able to convince Shanghai.

Ighalo on his own side has made it clear that he wants to finish the Premier League season with Manchester United, but his wish is of no importance to what Shanghai want because he has contract with them.

Shanghai are even said to have offered Odion Ighalo massive £400,000 per week deal for him to return which will also make him the highest paid African footballer ever.
