Go after kidnappers, Ondo community tells Amotekun

Residents of Akoko in Ondo State have urged the new Corps Commander, Ondo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Olu Adeleye, to go after kidnappers terrorising the area.

The residents also called on President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to beef up security in the area to stave off incessant kidnappings, rape and armed robbery in the area.

They said an Army captain, wife and daughter of Oba of Odigbo and Naval Commander were recently kidnapped in the area.

President of Akoko Development Group Akin Adaramola, said in a statement,

“The newly constituted Amotekun outfit is enjoined to hit the ground running in order to complement efforts of regular security agencies.

“Tight security is needed now more than ever as this would reduce the incessant kidnapping, armed banditry and hostilities in the area.”
