As mankind across the globe continues to battle the deadly coronavirus pandemic with all its force, hope and might, the health epidemic has not brought down the festive spirits and religious fervour of Muslims across India and the globe as they are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid at home amid the quarantine or lockdown restrictions imposed by most governments.

In India, the holy festival of Eid-ul-FitrĀ  is being observed and celebrated on Monday as the moon could not be spotted on Sunday.

Cricketers from India and across the world extended their warm greetings and good wishes to their fellow Muslim Countrymen on Eid. Leading the bandwagon were notable cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra who posted their heart-felt greetings to their fans on twitter with an underlying message around staying safe and united in the fight against the pandemic.

Meanwhile leading Pakistani cricketers - Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Amir also reflected a bit of their emotional side while posting their wishes to fellow Pakistanis and the Muslim brothers on the occasion of Eid.

"Eid to be celebrated on May 25 as the moon could not be sighted today. It's important that we take precautions&maintain social distancing. We should stay away from shaking hands & hugging. We should follow govt's guidelines," Delhi's Jama Masjid's Shahi Imam, Syed Ahmed Bukhari said.

While the festival is all about love and warmth, cricketers across are making sure to spread the joy with their fans.

Suresh Raina also posted his wishes to all the Muslims on Eid by posting a message of hope and optimism to help everyone overcome theĀ  testing times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
