A woman in Ludhiana killed her husband with help from her children after he re-attempted to rape his 15-year-old stepdaughter.

A woman in Ludhiana killed her husband with help from her children after he re-attempted to rape his 15-year-old stepdaughter. The husband had returned home in an inebriated state when he started misbehaving.

The incident took place in Mahaveer Jain colony in Ludhiana on Saturday night when the husband Raj Kishore (45) returned home drunk and started assaulting his stepdaughter.

The wife, Geeta, tried to stop him but the deceased went on to thrash her as well. Later, Geeta, her son and one of the daughters strangled Raj Kishore with a wire. Geeta reached the Daresi police station later and narrated the entire incident saying she was enraged with her husband's activities.

Geeta also told the police that Raj Kishore had made another attempt to rape his stepdaughter in 2018. The matter was reported at the time to the police but a compromise was reached between her and Raj Kishore.

Police officials said that she had solemnised a second marriage with Raj Kishore after getting a divorce. Geeta had a daughter and a son from the previous marriage and she gave birth to another daughter and two sons after the second marriage.

The police have registered a case against Geeta and her minor son and daughter.
