Decorated Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane renewed his contract at the helm of the football club after his current contract expired. Sundowns boss, Patrice Motsepe. Mosimane signed a new four-year contract with the Brazilians. There has been speculation suggesting that “Jingles” could have left the club as there have been suitors from within and outside of the African continent. Every football fan has been wanting to know about Pitso Mosimane’s salary at Sundowns.

However, Motsepe did hint that Mosimane’s new deal Is worth a lot, and the mining magnate says the one-time African Coach of the Year is worth every cent. Pitso Mosimane’s salary at Sundowns is now estimated to be well worth over R1 million according to reliable sources and also looking at his previous salary.  The billionaire club, Sundowns, also announced that no player or stuff will have a salary cut during the forced break due to Covid-19

“You really now have to go to the bank and extend your over draught. But I can tell you that every cent we are spending and must continue to spend on Pitso, I am very confident that it is money well-spent. If Sundowns did not want Pitso to be at Sundowns, we would have told him long ago. And if Pitso did not want to work at Sundowns, we would have replaced him long ago.

Pitso Mosimane’s salary makes him the highest paid coach in Africa

“Any employee, whether you are a chief executive officer or a taxi driver, if you do well, you should attract interest from others and it makes us proud. I have always said if Pitso gets better offers, whether, from North Africa or Europe, he must take that offer because if Sundowns is not prepared to pay him a competitive salary.”

Though there is no official word on the exact number of zero’s Pitso Mosimane’s salary will have, speculations is rife that he is now earning over 1 million a month. The 2016 Caf Coach of the year was earning R800 000 with his old contract.

Mosimane agreed and said he feels respected by the new bumper contract that will extend his seven years stay at the club.

“I think I have been respected in the contract and the compensation is of the level of a coach on the continent. I have worked for it for the past seven years‚ I have laboured. You get European coaches getting amounts just for pitching up but I have earned it‚” he said.
