Bunny's life in the US
by Aster AmoyoCALIFORNIA-based former actress Bunny Paras, younger sister of actress Sharmaine Arnaiz, has a 21-year old daughter Moira courtesy of DJ Mo Twister (Mohan Gumatay).
Si Bunny ay nag-migrate sa California, USA in 2000. At that time ay 7 years old pa lamang si Moira. In the US, she met Tony Green, a Fil-Am computer engineer. When they got married, Tony adopted Moria kaya dala-dala na nito ang apelyido ng kanyang husband.
Moira got infected with a rare illness, ang Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare genetic disease that causes difficulty walking, a loss of sensation in the arms and legs and impaired speech. In other cases, it can also cause vision impairment, scoliosis, heart problems and diabetes. Ang masaklap, wala pang available treatment at cure sa sakit na ito.
With her will to survive sa sakit na ito, pilit itong nilalabanan ni Moira with the support ng kanyang family.
Kahit naka-wheelchair at may kakaibang sakit si Moira, hindi nito pinababayaan ang kanyang pag-aaral. Katunayan, nasa 3rd year college na siya sa California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California taking up hospitality management course.
Bunny and her husband Tony have three kids – sina Connor (9), Ariana (6) at Cody (2).
Bunny is thankful sa kanyang mister na si Tony who provides for his family a good life.
“I am so blessed that I have a loving and very supportive husband. He also treats Moira like his own,” pahayag ni Bunny na naging bahagi din noon ng youth-oriented program na “That’s Entertainment” ni Kuya Germs (Moreno).
Bago siya nag-settle sa America, naging sunud-sunod din noon ang nagawa niyang pelikula.
Pagdating sa biological father ni Moira na si DJ Mo, she’d rather not talk about him.
“I leave it all up to Moira if she wants a relationship with her father. After all, she’s 21,” maiksing pahayag ni Bunny.
Since matagal na siya sa Amerika, hindi na gaanong nami-miss ni Bunny ang kanyang showbiz career.
“Having a happy family is very rewarding,” aniya.
Unknown to many, ang magkapatid na Bunny Paras at Sharmaine Arnaiz ay first cousin ng magkapatid na Chesca at Patrick Garcia. Ang kanilang respective moms ay magkapatid.
