Richa Chadha on her marriage prep before lockdown: Ali and I were organising everything ourselves, the invites were yet to be sent out
by TIMESOFINDIA.COMRicha Chadha and Ali Fazal were planning their dream wedding before the lockdown was announced. The couple had even registered for a court marriage but all plans have been postponed due to the worldwide health scare. Speaking about the wedding prep Richa told Mumbai Mirror, “Ali and I were organising everything ourselves. The invites were yet to be sent out, but we had finalised other things, which had to be cancelled. Now, we will take a call only when normalcy returns."
Richa and Ali haven’t got the chance to see each other due to the lockdown, “We could have asked for permission from our respective housing societies, but it would have been a risk. So, we avoided meeting," added Richa.
In an earlier interaction with BT, Ali had revealed that postponing the wedding was disheartening. “We were supposed to get married, but it has been pushed. Of course, it is a bit disheartening because we were all geared up, and preparations were on in full swing. But it’s fine. We didn’t want to make a big noise about our wedding. It is just the next step forward in our lives. The idea is to celebrate our special day with people close to us, our friends and family. Once things settle down and when the time is right, hopefully, we will come back and the new world will celebrate with us. I don’t know what kind of wedding celebration it will be now, given the new norms, but let’s see,” Ali had shared.
