Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County wants to help first responders with child care
by Jillian RamosTAMPA, Fla. — The Early Learning Coalitions (ELC) across the State of Florida are able to help first responders thanks to $211 million in funds.
Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, nurses and dispatchers can all apply to receive help for the next 3 months.
The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County says if you live within Hillsborough County, just contact your HR department to receive an application.
"We at the Coalition want to show how much we appreciate the first responders," says Aakash Patel, Chairman of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County. "Child care is such an important part of this."
The program is being administered through the State Office of Early Learning and its 31 Early Learning Coalitions, so even if you don't live in Hillsborough county you still have options.
Children have to be under the age of 13 but there are no income requirements.
