Two trucks crash at petrol station in Warrenheip

Two trucks have crashed in a serious incident at Warrenheip, with one truck careering into a petrol bowser.

Emergency services were first notified of the incident at the BP service station just before 2.10pm.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all on scene.

A B-double truck and tow truck were involved in the incident, with the tow truck crashing into the bowser at speed.

The larger truck came to rest, partially blocking the freeway.

Given the location of the incident at the service station, there were initial fears of fuel spillages in the area.

It is understood the bowsers were turned off when the crash occurred, but there was still a significant fuel spillage in the area.

According to a CFA notification, one of the bowsers became dislodged.
