SARASOTA, Fla. -- A 10-year-old girl has drowned after getting caught in the current off Siesta Key Beach.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office responded to a call in the 900th block of Beach Road around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. When deputies arrived, they found a woman and two children on scene. With the help of bystanders and EMS workers, all three were brought back to the shore.
