Captain Marvel 2 Will Show Carol Danvers Picking Up Thor’s Hammer

by

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel might be the mightiest strongest of them all but there is one thing even Captain Marvel herself can’t do. Or anyone except the God of Thunder Thor.

Thor’s hammer Mjolnir is a weapon that will be deemed useless by anyone that is not him. Yet, for Thor it makes him unattainable against his enemies. The catch of course is something that has been in the Marvel family for quite some time now and no dedicated fan of the series is foreign to it.

Thor’s hammer can only be picked up by those who are worthy of Mjilnor. So, what is this we are hearing about Captain Marvel picking Thor’s hammer up, then?

Highlights

And is this a possible plotline for Captain Marvel Part 2?

Captain Marvel Pulls A Captain America

Carol Danvers’ endeavours in to the inter-galactic universe have never been not dramatic.

In the latest storyline of the comic book series for Captain Marvel, “The Last Avenger” Carol Danvers is in between a one on one fight against her friends in combat. One of the Kree by the name of Vox Supreme has forced Captain Marvel to deliver dead bodies of her Avengers friends to him. And if she fails to follow the orders, Vox Supreme will detonate bombs hidden on Earth and leave a ginormous wave of destruction on her home planet.

But teaming up with S.H.I.E.L.D project, our superhero Captain Marvel devises a plan. She has to hide the real Avengers in the pocket dimension inside Singularity and deliver cloned bodies of the Avengers. And the Kree will never know.

And in Captain Marvel comic book series, Carol Danvers does that and more. The Kree’s plan is to fuse the DNA of Avengers to create a new breed of Kree-warrior Gods. But Captain Marvel fights back and stops this from happening. And in the fight Captain Marvel manages to do the impossible: lifts up Thor’s might hammer Mjilnor.

But, hold your horses. There is a catch.

The Reason behind Captain Marvel’s Worthiness

The real reason Captain Marvel picks up Thor’s hammer is not exactly the worthiness clause.

We have learnt that the Vox is trying to extract the Avengers DNA to create a superior race of Kree warriors to rule the universe. But not only is Vox trying to that, along with the DNA- he’s collecting memories and the spirits of the Avengers too. For that he has harvested a special serum he plans to use to create the superior race.

But Captain Marvel on learning this new information fights back and as she in the process of fighting back, the serum spills on her. The serum then gives her special abilities. Due to those special abilities, Captain Marvel is able to pick up Thor’s Mjilnor. And from one hand she hold Captain America’s shield.

And wielding power from both the weapons, Captain Marvel is able to defeat Vox Supreme for good. Well, the serum turned out to be quite beneficial for the universe after all. And proves that the only way Captain Marvel is able to wield the hammer is when she literally has Thor’s DNA inside her.

So, is this the plot line for Captain Marvel Two?

Plot for Captain Marvel Part 2

Many fans aka Marvel detectives are wondering if this is the plot line Marvel will likely be following for Captain Marvel Part 2.

It’s got all Avengers cameo’s in it, Kree threatening to end the world, Samuel L Jackson as Agent Fury teaming up with Carol Danvers again and Captain Marvel saving everyone in the end.

But, as the Kree storyline has already been explored in the first Captain Marvel movie it is quite possible they might go another way. Choosing the same villain as before isn’t really Avengers style. But we can still hope for Captain Marvel to be picking up Thor’s hammer could fit in the storyline somewhere.
