Head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Dr. Mensa Otabil has been asked to stop watching the national geography channel and rather concentrate on national issues.

Pastor Otabil in 2018 said it was depressing to listen to Ghanaian media and that he would rather watch a channel that is less depressing.

“It is very depressing. It will contaminate your soul... I don’t watch Ghanaian TV much. I watch a little... one, two, three, and I say Oh nothing has changed, go back. I will watch animals. I’ll watch cheetah, I’ll watch lion, I’ll watch antelope anytime... I’ll watch giraffes anytime because at least they’ll tell me how to hunt, how to get to your goal, how to avoid being eaten. I’ll learn that from an antelope. At least I’d come back and say: nobody will eat me," he said.

Two years down and Sam George says it is time for Otabil to stop 'watching animals' and address the 'rot' in the country.

The Ningo Prampram MP who was interacting with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Neat FM's ‘Me Man Nti’ programme said "since he says he’s not following the rot in the system and he only watches national geography, I would have been grateful if Pastor Otabil was still preaching about the rot in the system.”

Ato Essien

Lawyers of William Ato Essien, the founder of the defunct Capital Bank, who is standing trial for allegedly collapsing the bank, has told the Accra High Court that their client is willing to refund GH¢27.5 million back to the state.

Counsel for Ato Essien, Mr Baffour Gyewu Bonsu told the court Thursday that his client had already paid GH¢1.4 million of the GH¢27.5 million to the state.

Speaking to this, Sam George said: "I will be happy if he preaches a sermon on Sunday about the CEO of the bank that he was board Chairman who has admitted guilt that he’s chopped people’s money and wants to pay some. What Ato Essien says he wants to pay; I would want to hear what Dr Otabil has to say, because as Chairman of the board what did he know about the rot in the bank. Today he’s quiet he’s only watching animals".
