Strawberry-banana milkshake moth wins over netizens

Sometimes you can appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature sitting right in your home. That’s what happened with Twitter user Rebecca Lavoie who discovered a beautiful banana strawberry coloured moth lounging on her deck. She posted the photo on Twitter where it went viral. Eagle eyed netizens told her that it was a rosy maple moth which is known to live on maple trees and is found in Texas, Florida and Canada. The species is famous for its woolly body and pink and yellow colouration, which varies from cream or white to bright pink or yellow. Another user @SushiRollPhan wrote, “She brings all the boys to the yard.” One user said the moth appeared to be something out of a child’s imagination.

Its beauty was so bewitching that people from everywhere started posting pictures of
different varieties of moth they had found near them. One user@KMajczan recalled, “I
once found this guy on a neighbor’s car and stopped to take this pic. The owner came
out asking me what the heck I was doing. I pointed to this Luna moth and he was okay
with my taking a picture note how big it is! These were large SUV tires!”
