Rajanna-Sircilla: IT and Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao once again displayed his compassionate side on Sunday, when he extended financial support to a physically challenged person.

Buttam Parsharamulu, an autorickshaw driver, was unable to move since 2018 as his legs were affected due to diabetes. While one leg was amputated below the knee, the other leg was also damaged. The family, which resides in Sircilla town, faced helplessness as Parsharamulu was unable to work during the last seven years due to health issues, and had spent huge amounts of money on his treatment after selling the house.

His son, Sai Teja, works as a tractor driver after completing SSC to help run the family while his daughter Tejashvini completed intermediate. Srinivas, a relative of Parsharamulu, brought the issue to the notice of Rama Rao through a tweet on Saturday.

Responding immediately, Rama Rao instructed District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar to provide financial assistance to Parsharamulu. The Collector provided Rs 25,000 to the victim. Town revenue inspector Madhu on Sunday handed over the cheque to Parsharamulu and promised to provide pension under PHC category.

The Minister thanked the collector for providing financial assistance to the family. Parsharamulu thanked Rama Rao and collector for providing financial assistance.
