Tiger Woods, Peyton Manning beat Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady in The Match

Maybe Tom Brady does need Bill Belichick to win.

The new Buccaneers starting quarterback on Saturday lost his first official athletic competition since leaving the New England Patriots, as he and teammate Phil Mickelson fell to Tiger Wood and Peyton Manning by one hole in “The Match: Champions for Charity at Medalist” in Hobe Sound, Fla.

The event helped raise $20 million in the fight against coronavirus.

The six-time Super Bowl winner’s game was off early and Woods and Manning let by three after six holes. Brady redeemed himself on No. 7 with a spectacular birdie. He and Mickelson won holes No. 11 and No. 14 but could not close the gap.
