MyLeague is the best mode in NBA 2K, there I said it. Why? Because no other mode allows you to do as much from a current, past, and present perspective.

One recent example of this comes from YouTuber Clique Productions. He has taken the art of simulating NBA scenarios in the game to another level. In a video he just released over the past week, Clique created a player rated 99-overall in every category.

He made this gentleman, whose name is Jacob Underwood, a popularly-used face in 2K’s more generic database of stored renders, 6’11” with every elite dribble move and dunk package.

Essentially, Underwood is about as perfect as any player could ever hope to be, and he began his career as a 19-year-old. The concept is fascinating, but Clique’s execution augments the overall appeal of the project. Take a look:

While Clique carried the vocal entertainment aspect, I’d say 2K’s simulation engine held up pretty well, with the exception of a few odd statistical gaffes.

In the event you haven’t watched the video above, Underwood was drafted No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bulls. Clique used a realistic custom draft class for the simulation, but Underwood was far and away the top choice.

Predictably, Underwood dominated the history books throughout his insane 22-year career. He broke just about every major single-season and career record in existence, and in most cases, he blew the second-place finisher out of the water.

In the simulation, Ja Morant wound up as the second-highest scorer in NBA history with 43,422 points (that probably won’t happen), but Underwood had 69,498 career points. In case you’re wondering, LeBron James finished fourth all time with 42,039 points.

Underwood also finished as the NBA’s all-time leader in rebounds, assists, field goals, three-pointers, free throws, blocks, steals, 40-point, and 50-point games.

Underwood won 20 championships, 20 league MVPs, made 22 All-Star games, 22 Defensive Player of the Year, and wound up with career averages that would make the most unhinged MyPlayer feel inferior.

While the existence of such a player is completely unrealistic, this kind of simulation beautifully walks the line between realism and ridiculousness with just enough of both to make this 30-minute video worth your time.

Clique has several other player-centric simulations on his channel, which are also worth a look if you’re into NBA 2K MyLeague, fantasy concepts and basketball history.
