Mental Wellness Social Media App Wisdo Connects College Students For Free

by

The graduating class of 2020 in the U.S. and the U.K. got a very raw deal three times over from the Coronavirus. First, those young men and women were denied a chance to spend their final semesters or trimesters with their friends on their chosen campuses. Then, they never received the traditional graduation ceremonies with all their pomp and circumstance. Finally, they enter an economic environment strained to the point of depression due to crippling, virus-driven business closings.

Now, the social media app Wisdo wants to offer those recent grads a chance to find mentors with experience in walking from the classroom into a recession. More importantly, Wisdo intends to match 2020’s struggling young people with a previous generation armed with similar experience.

The app Wisdo works to help people facing struggles in finding others who already took on those same challenges. By its designers own description, the social media platform “taps into the wisdom of those who’ve been there.”

The service is now offering 2020 grads six free months membership when they sign up with their college email address. As new members, they will have the chance to connect with mentors that graduated in 2008 when the U.S. economy last experienced a slowdown as severe as this current COVID-19 tragedy. The hope is 2020’s new young professionals can learn from the 2008 versions who also emerged into a very difficult job market.

Any graduating college student in the U.S. or university student in the U.K. wishing to take advantage of this offer should visit www.wisdo.com and sign in with their .edu or .ac.uk email address. Once signed up, the former student can take advantage of six months of free access to Wisdo’s emotional wellness self-care platform.

The app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
