Queenstown search after 'driver flees'

Police are looking for a driver in Queenstown this evening after they attempted to stop a vehicle.

A police media spokeswoman said officers "attempted to stop a vehicle on Banbury Terrace, Lower Shotover, at about 5.15pm and the driver fled".

Police said they followed the driver but abandoned this after a brief time due to the volume of traffic, but inquiries were ongoing.
