Meghalaya has 2 active COVID-19 positive cases :Hek

Hek said that there were two active COVID-19 cases in the state as on date and the 15th patient is a female from Resubelpara who has returned from Chennai and is already under quarantine. Addressing a press conference, Hek informed that the state so far detected 15 COVID-19 positive cases – two active, one deceased and 12 recovered. The number of samples sent for testing is 6353 out of them 5238 have tested negative while results are being awaited in respect of 1100 samples. The 14th and 15th patients belonged to the same batch of returnees from Chennai. As for the cases where 6 CRPF Jawans were tested positive for COVID-19, DEputy Chief Minister, Prestonde Tynsong said that the cases occurred on Assam side of the border but the state government of Meghalaya was also keeping a close watch and in touch with its counterparts. He said that the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi had been instructed to take the matter seriously. |
