Number of flight bookings at airBaltic up nearly 500%

Latvian national airline airBaltic reports that compared to the first full week of May, last week the number of new bookings made on airBaltic flights increased by nearly 500%. In total, last week passengers made more than 13 000 new reservations, according to airBaltic communications manager Alise Briede.

«It is our main aim to connect Baltics to the world, and we are glad to resume flights to major European business hubs. We are here to continue providing the best connectivity to and from the Baltic region under the adjusted Destination 2025 CLEAN business plan,» Martin Gauss, airBaltic CEO said.

During the first week of airBaltic resuming scheduled flights, the airline carried 4 315 passengers. Most popular were routes from Riga to Frankfurt and Oslo as well as from Tallinn to Amsterdam.

On May 18, airBaltic resumed flights from Riga to Tallinn and Vilnius. The airline is also performing flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Munich and Oslo as well as various direct connections from Tallinn and Vilnius. airBaltic has also announced resumption of flights from Riga to Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna and Dusseldorf.
