Carlos Franco was caught by police in Córdoba, Argentina, with 3 grams of cocaine in his car and the player has assured that it isn't his and that he usually lends the vehicle to family and friends.

'La Voz del Interior' inform that the goalkeeper Franco was caught with cocaine in his car in the middle of lockdown, at 2.52am last Monday morning. The drug was in a nylon bag.

On 'TyC Sports', the player tried to explain what happened that night, in which he left to buy medication for his son.

"The first thing I did was find a pharmacy. The thing is, I didn't realise and I drove onto a street on the wrong side of the road and the policeman thought I was drunk", he said.

Carlos Franco assured that the drug wasn't his and that he usually gives his car to cousins and friends. "I have full trust in them", he affirmed.

The goalkeeper will have to go through a drug trafficking trial, and the club said it won't make a decision until the authorities do.
