"Frank de Boer ruined my career"
by BeSoccerBesiktas player, Caner Erkin, recalled his spell at Inter and how then manager, Frank de Boer, left him without opportunities.
Surely few remember him, but the Turkish player Caner Erkin signed for Inter Milan in 2016 with more pain than glory. He was a strategic signing for Inter Milan, who got him on a free from Fenerbahçe, but he didn't have opportunities to prove his worth.
In the words of the now Besiktas player, Frank de Boer was the big culprit of his failure. He recalled that he didn't give him a chance and he felt almost humiliated.
"I thought I was going to take a step forward, that I was going to play to win titles, but Frank de Boer's attitude towards me was horrible and disappointing," recalled the Turkish full-back.

"He left me out of the team like I was a youth team player and ruined my career. He forced me to train outside the team. It was a disrespect that I didn't understand. I think he wanted to force me to leave", he explained to 'FCInterNews'.
After a spell on loan at Besiktas, the Turkish side bought him, and there he managed to recover his best level, while De Boer, who was only in charge of Inter for 14 matches, has since wandered off and ended up in the MLS.
