Lena Dunham struts down the runway in huge gold dress and heels at LFW
by Sarah DeenLena Dunham showed off her model behaviour as she took to the runway for London Fashion Week.
The actress and writer can now add runway model to her CV following her appearance in the 16Arlington show in London on Friday.
Lena’s short dark hair was parted to one side and slicked into a thin fringe down one side of her face similar to the other models taking part in the show.
The 33-year-old strutted her stuff wearing a daring creation from the label – a short dress with a one-sleeved leather-look top part and a beautiful, black and gold skirt at the bottom with a striking red hem. The high fashion look was completed with sheer rights and black high heels.
She also wore a huge silver statement necklace and bright red lipstick.
Lena put on best fierce face for her moment in the show, which was to display 16Arlington’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection.
While we can’t imagine Lena’s get up keeping you warm in the colder months, it would be a real head-turner come Christmas party season.
The Girls star recently revealed that she was briefly engaged after splitting from boyfriend of five years Jack Antonoff.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan about that period of her life, when the mystery man ‘proposed with the lace of a Timberland boot while they were snowed in at her parents’ apartment’, Lena admitted it was a big turning point.
She told the magazine: ‘I’d just had a hysterectomy, I’d broken up with my boyfriend, I was in the process of breaking up with my business partner – I had no business buying a pair of shoes, [let alone] getting engaged.
‘Then I just went, “You know what? I’ve been dating since I was 15 years old. I’m allowed to take a break”.
‘Sobriety for me means so much more than just not doing drugs, it also means that I abstain from negative relationships. It means I’ve taken a hiatus from dating, which has been amazing for me.’
