Arsenal loanee Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been labelled an 'important' player by his AS Roma boss.

The Armenian wants to leave Arsenal but AS Roma are not willing to meet the £20m price-tag, according to reports.

However, the midfielder managed to score his first goal for the Italian club since December and played a full 90 minutes in Serie A since the start of the season too.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's match against Atalanta, manager Paulo Fonseca said: "Mkhitaryan is an important, experienced player who makes the right decisions. He can play in lots of positions – he's even smart enough to play in goal.

"His ideal positions are attacking midfielder or winger."

Meanwhile, defender William Saliba has been catching the attention of some Arsenal fans as he spends this season on-loan to St Etienne.

The centre-back has been limited to less than 15 appearances in all competitions due to injuries.

But despite this, he has one of the leagues best stats regarding tackles against dribblers.

The French player has a 75% success rate when it comes to tackling dribblers.

Last week, Saliba helped set up a French Cup semi-final clash against Rennes after beating Epinal 2-1.

What are the bookies saying?

Bookies thepools.com have priced AS Roma at 3/1 with hosts Atalanta the favourites at 4/5 and a draw at 3/1 too.

The Armenian midfielder may have found his goalscoring form again - which he has lacked since moving from Borussia Dortmund.

He is 9/1 to score first or 11/4 to score anytime.

In Ligue 1, the bookies have priced William Saliba's St Etienne at 15/8 to get a clean sheet and 6/4 to beat Brest.
