If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, relaxing on Calus’ Barge.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

Xur’s inventory caps out at 941 if you’re 960.

Tractor Cannon

Tractor Cannon is an exotic shotgun. Its exotic perk, Repulsor Force, causes the weapon to fire powerful pulses that push enemies away from the user, suppress their abilities, and make them vulnerable to incoming damage. Its secondary perk, The Scientific Method, makes damaging opponents temporarily increase the weapon’s stats.

Tractor Cannon is a very powerful weapon in both PvP and PvE. It can instantly kill Guardians out of their Super, or help your Fireteam melt a boss. If you don’t have this one yet, this is the perfect opportunity to pick it up.

The Dragon’s Shadow

In terms of Hunter exotics, Dragon’s Shadow is only decent. Its exotic perk, Wraithmetal Mail, will reload all of the Hunter’s weapons when they dodge, which also increases movement and handling speed for a brief time after. This bonus is mostly valuable in PvP. However, Hunters already have Foetracer and other excellent PvP exotics to take. If you’re a hardcore PvP player or find yourself caught 2v1s frequently, pick this up. If none of that applies to you, skip it.

Xur’s roll this week is Void, and comes with 49 total stats.

Wormgod Caress

This is actually a campaign exotic from Warmind, so almost everyone should have it, as long as they’ve beaten Xol with a Titan. Its exotic perk is Burning Fists, which causes melee kills to increase melee damage for a period of time. You can extend the duration of this effect with more melee kills.

These gauntlets are great if you enjoy playing up close. If you don’t have them yet, buy Wormgod Caress from Xur this week.

Xur’s roll this week is Solar, and comes with 48 total stats.

Starfire Protocol

Starfire Protocol will rarely be a worthwhile exotic. Its perk is Fusion Harness, which grants you an extra charge of fusion grenades and causes fusion grenade kills to grant you Rift energy. The fusion grenades are fairly sub par in Destiny 2, which makes this perk mostly useless. It also requires you to use Dawnblade, which is the least useful of the Warlock specs. If you already love being a Dawnblade and using fusion grenades, then you should absolutely pick this up. If you don’t often use either, skip it.

Xur’s roll this week is Void, and comes with 49 total stats.

Invitation

If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
