Extra Sunday for Sammy tickets go on sale as show producers free up more seating space
Following the sell-out of the February show, a new release of tickets means another chance for fans who missed out
by Barbara HodgsonThere's another chance for Sunday for Sammy fans to bag a seat at February's star-studded event following the release of a limited number of extra tickets.
The upcoming music and comedy showcase, which will take place at Utilita Arena in Newcastle on on February 23, had proved the usual fast sell-out but, with plans for the staging now set, producers have been able to free up space and release some additional seats.
Tickets in this second and final batch are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lindisfarne favourite Ray Laidlaw is the producer of Sunday for Sammy, the biennial fund-raiser which is always a sell-out thanks to its quality line-up of music and comedy performances.
It features a surprise line-up of celebrities whose identities are kept under wraps. This year, however, it was revealed that one of the highlights will see Jimmy Nail feature in a special Auf Wiedersehen, Pet sketch alongside Tim Healy and Kevin Whately.
There will be two shows on the day, at 2pm and then again at 7.30pm, and now that the technical positions for the show's camera crew and team have been decided there are currently extra tickets available for both performances - while stocks last.
Those interested are advised to act fast: the tickets are on sale from the Utilita Arena site here.
