Female Baloot players show off their skills at Saudi championship
RIYADH: Pulmonary hypertension is one of the few diseases that require an accurate and rapid diagnosis and prompt treatment as it can lead to heart failure and death, a medical conference in Riyadh heard.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Dalaan, president of the Saudi Association for Pulmonary Hypertension, was speaking at the 13th Pulmonary Hypertension Conference. He told delegates that the deadly disease affected about 15 to 50 people out of every million.
The conference aimed to create a platform through which knowledge and expertise on the latest and best practice methods in pulmonary hypertension can be shared.
