Tom Winter, congressional candidate, shares mock Tinder profile in fundraising email

A hunky congressional candidate from Montana sent out a fundraising email Friday with a photo of himself shirtless in a mock Tinder profile that lists his interests as “healthcare” and “talking policy.”
Tom Winter, a 33-year-old Democratic state legislator from the Missoula area, fired off the steamy Valentine’s Day-themed spoof Friday to drum up support for his 2020 campaign, according to New York Times reporter Nick Corasaniti, who tweeted an image of the faux dating app.
“If you’re not game to talk healthcare, it’s not going to work out,” proclaims the mock profile, which features an image of Winter wading through a mountain river under a Tinder logo.
It lists his likes and dislikes, including “big mountains,” “talking policy” and “big corporations” — and concludes, “Swipe right for a representative who will fight for you.”
Some observers swooned over the photo, pointing out he’s no typical-looking pol.
“i mean, i’d swipe right,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
Winter’s platform issues include fixing a “broken healthcare system,” boosting “stagnant wages” and booting “corrupt” government officials, according to his website.
He is running for outgoing Rep. Greg Gianforte’s seat.
A rep for Winter didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.
